When a fic is so good you have to take a break in order to roll around on your bed and flail your limbs everywhere
This actually happens
Aang levitates in the air, until suddenly, a bolt of lightning strikes his body. The swirling cosmic ball vanishes and the avatar spirit falls and fades away along with the path of light Aang is standing on. Aang’s body plummets to the earth below. Back in the physical world, Aang’s body is also falling to the ground. His clothes are charred, and there is a terrible wound on his back where he was struck, as well as a burnt spot on the sole of his foot where the lightning exited. Katara stares shocked and horrified, tears rolling down her face. She turns her body and swirls the water around her. Katara creates a large wave and rides on top of it towards Aang, arms spread behind her. The wave rolls over Zuko and the Dai Li, washing them away. Katara catches Aang and lands on the ground, the water flowing away from her. She holds his unconscious body and looks up hopelessly...
She faces Prince Zuko and Princess Azula, who shield themselves from the sudden burst of flames that rushes in between them and the fallen Avatar. Having appeared from nowhere, Uncle Iroh leaps down from one of the high, sepulcher ledges. “You’ve got to get out of here. I’ll hold them off as long as I can!” he says before unleashing a barrage of firebolts on the legion of Dai Li there to accost them. Katara shoulders the fallen Avatar before staggering to the nearby waterfall. Reverent, she conjures a water lift to carry them up the waterfall. They flee the scene. Iroh, still in heated defense of the two, sees them depart before lowering his stance and surrendering to the his niece, nephew, and their Earthbending agents.
Iroh glares at Zuko before lowering his head in disappointment and defeat.

accurate makorra response to makorra haters.
Mako stirs from sleep to a grey drizzle and brushes away the gravel pressed into his skin. The city is slowly rousing from a sluggish haze too, satomobiles sounding like rolling waves in the distance. The newspapers he’d laid down as bedding last night are soaked, but the headlines are still legible. A child was born two days ago, on Air Temple Island, the whole world hushed to see if the spirits have blessed her with the gift of wind.
He puts the papers away and goes to wake Bolin. It looks like it will rain harder later.

GOD DAMMIT MUM WHY DO YOU ALWAYS DO THIS TO ME
Poor Lin Beifong suffers the life of Toph’s horrible mum jokes. Forever. Well, I mean, I guess she had to learn from somewhere, right? Toph is still probably the best dad though.
A sneak peak at the Nickelodeon booth here at the San Diego Comic Con.
